We have put together a collection of clinical research and white papers on neuro-visual rehabilitation or vision therapy. As you read studies and opinions, it is always important to utilize your critical thinking and ask questions. If you have any questions about vision therapy, the efficacy of vision therapy, or any of the clinical research on vision therapy, please contact our office.

We’ve also added an article from the 2009 edition of the Behavioral Journal of Optometry on Neuroplasticity as it relates to vision therapy.
The scientific community is gradually embracing the notion that rehabilitation of motor, sensory and cognitive impairments can alter brain reorganization and result in functional recovery. Therefore, the training and rehabilitation of functional visual disorders through repetitive, targeted visual therapy techniques should not be a foreign concept. It can be inferred that the mechanism for the efficacy of Vision Therapy and rehabilitation is through strengthening synaptic connections and inducing cortical reorganization to maximize visual efficiency.
